How does DC-1 work?
Triphala: Triphala has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years to support bowel health and aid digestion. As an antioxidant, it's also thought to detoxify the body and support the immune system.
Cascara Sagrada: One of the safest laxatives ever discovered, and is not habit forming. This herb is not only excellent for cleansing the colon of encrusted waste materials, but also tones the peristaltic muscles of the colon, helping to overcome constipation. It also increases the secretions of the liver, pancreas, and stomach.
Ginger Root and/or Cramp Bark: Ginger Root is a powerful anti-inflammatory that aids digestion and helps to clear up flatulent colics. It works well in combination with laxative herbs and stimulates the flow of saliva. And Cramp Bark cramp bark is used for relieving cramps, including muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, and cramps during pregnancy. Cramp bark is also used as a kidney stimulant for urinary conditions that involve pain or spasms.
Bayberry Bark: A gentle circulatory stimulant. Aids digestion and is effective in overcoming excess mucus accumulation in the bowel. Also aids in the healing and repair of gastritis, enteritis, dysentery and diarrhea.
Oregon Grape Root: A hepatic herb which in a wide range of ways aids the liver and stimulates the gallbladder. Aids in overcoming constipation.
Fennel Seed: A carminative herb which stimulates the digestive system to work properly and with ease. The main action is to sooth and settle the gut walls, easing pain and helping to remove gas from the digestive tract.
Slippery Elm Bark: A demulcent herb which is perfectly suited for sensitive or inflamed mucous membrane linings in the digestive system.
Fenugreek Seed: Contains a high amount of mucilage which is very soothing and healing to the walls of intestines. Excellent for relieving the pain and irritation of ulcers.
Irish Moss and/or Bladderwrack: Rich in potassium chloride, Irish moss can work wonders for congestion and mucous, and holds anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. And Bladderwrack is used for thyroid disorders including underactive thyroid (myxedema), over-sized thyroid gland (goiter), and iodine deficiency.
